1st of August 2011: secureSDLXLIFF has been published to SDL's app store at SDL OpenExchange: Just like secureTTX, the tool allows users to test source language documents simulating translation in batch mode. This way, project managers can be sure that all documents run through the translation process without any issues. Furthermore, secureSDLXLIFF provides many ways to optimize the translation experience of Microsoft Office documents using SDL Trados translation technology. The current version supports Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010 as well as SDL Trados 2007 and SDL Trados Studio 2009. You can download a demo version - if you are interested to buy the tool, please contact us. At the moment, we are working on a version that is compatible with the forthcoming SDL Trados Studio 2011.
1st Feb. 2011: At this year's memoQfest in Budapest Thomas Imhof of localix.biz will present about the implementation of memoQserver as a translation memory system for tolingo's online translation system.

15th Nov. 2010: Thomas Imhof of localix.biz will speak about Desktop Publishing as an additional service offered by translators at the 4. ADÜ-Nord-Tage 2011 conference in Hamburg. He will also run a workshop to show how translators can offer terminology work as a service and integrate the customer into the process.

1st Nov. 2010: Thomas Imhof of localix.biz publishes an article about the current translation memory systems and their new features in the Infoblatt 5/2011 of ADÜ Nord. The article was written after a respective presentation at the Kollegentreffen in September 2010 and explains the latest developments in the current products of SDL Trados, Kilgray, Across and others.
15. Okt. 2010: Thomas Imhof of localix.biz and Klaus Fleischmann of Kaleidoscope close a technology partner contract.
As part of the cooperation of the two companies, Kaleidoscope offers secureTTX - a tool written by Thomas Imhof that removes problems from Microsoft Office documents before the documents go into the translation workflow - on the expertTools page of the Kaleidoscope website.4th of May 2010: Thomas Imhof of localix.biz is now certified memoQ trainer.
30th of April 2010: ALINEA Financial Translations chose localix.biz to help with the SDL Trados TM Server implementation. The project included the setup of the server services, the migration of the TMs and programming of a customized solution for a controlled logon to the TM repository.
15th of March 2010: Thomas Imhof will speak about the XLIFF format at the memoQ Fest 2010. The memoQ Fest will take place in Budapest, 5-7 May 2010. You can view the program of the event and an abstract of the presentation at the memoQ Fest homepage.
10th of January 2010: ADÜ Nord, the association of translators in the North of Germany, organizes a series of training sessions moderated by Thomas Imhof of localix.biz about various translation technology products including SDL Trados Studio 2009 and SDL MultiTerm 2009. 11th of November 2009: Thomas Imhof of localix.biz has passed all SDL Trados certificate exams for SDL Trados Studio 2009 and MultiTerm 2009 and is approved trainer for SDL Trados 2009.
23rd of October 2009: Thomas Imhof publishes the article TM - die neue Generation in the Infoblatt, Ausgabe 05.2009 of the ADÜ Nord, the association of translators in the North of Germany.
The article appears in German and compares the current versions of the established translation memory systems, but also introduces some interesting open source developments. Special focus is set on sub segment matching, which is the latest technological innovation in translation technology and allows for automated lookup and insertion of segment fragments during translation. 20th of August 2009: localix.biz has successfully finalized the Trados TM Server and MultiTerm Server implementation at EnglishBusiness in Hamburg, Germany. EnglishBusiness specializes in translating annual reports and other investor relations documentation. One unique selling point of EnglishBusiness is their unmatched translation quality.

12th of July 2009: SDL Trados Studio 2009 is out and Tom Imhof of localix.biz is now an approved Trados trainer for SDL Trados 2007 Suite, MultiTerm 2007, Studio 2009 and MultiTerm 2009. As an experienced trainer, Tom Imhof will provide all training courses foreseen by SDL Trados.
